SCRA Deadline / Clock Checker
Most SCRA rights run on a clock. Some end at separation, others carry a tail of 90 days, 180 days, one year, or two. Enter your dates and see which windows are open today, which are closing, and which have already closed. This is an estimator, not legal advice; your orders control.
During-service-only protections (these end at separation):
- Eviction protection from rental housing under 50 U.S.C. § 3951, while you are on active duty.
- Installment-contract repossession shield (for example, a car you made a payment on before service) under 50 U.S.C. § 3952, while you serve.
- The rate-cap savings on non-mortgage debt apply during service. The request window itself stays open 180 days after release, but only the mortgage cap keeps running a full year past duty.
Heads up: SCRA Saver publishes general information, not legal or financial advice. Laws change and every situation differs. Confirm details with your installation legal assistance office (free for service members) or a licensed professional.
