CorePower Yoga Military Discount: 20% Off All Access for New Members
Part of: The Complete Guide to the SCRA
CorePower Yoga does have a military discount, and it is a real one: 20% off the All Access base rate, which CorePower calls a lifetime discount. The catch is in the fine print. It only applies to a new purchase made through an online check, so the way you join matters. On orders, CorePower’s own deployment freeze and the federal right to terminate under 50 U.S.C. § 3956 give you two exits, and they cost very different amounts.
The discount, in CorePower’s terms
CorePower’s Special Pricing for Eligible Groups terms, updated November 3, 2025, define military members as active duty members, veterans and retirees of any branch, Reserve and National Guard members, Registered Military Dependents, and members of Gold Star Families. The benefit is “twenty percent (20%) off the base rate for an All Access Membership” at your home studio, or 20% off class packs.
Six rules decide whether you actually get it:
- Participating studios. The terms say program benefits are valid only at participating CorePower locations, so confirm your home studio takes the discount.
- Online only. Verification runs through SheerID. “No. In order to sign up for special discounts, you must first go through our online verification,” the FAQ says of joining in a studio.
- New purchases only. A current member has to cancel, wait out the cancellation period, then buy again through the discount page.
- Lifetime, with conditions. The rate lasts while you stay eligible and keep the membership, and the terms let CorePower change or end the program at any time. Military and seniors skip the yearly re-verification other groups face.
- No stacking. It cannot be combined with another offer, and it does not apply to single classes, drop-ins, or the Intro Month.
- It floats. The 20% applies to the base rate “as such rate changes,” so a price increase reaches you too.
What 20% is worth in three military towns
| Studio | All Access base | Military rate | Saved per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs | $165 | $132 | $396 |
| Point Loma, San Diego | $189 | $151.20 | $453.60 |
| Kapolei, Oahu | $199 | $159.20 | $477.60 |
Base rates from each studio’s corepoweryoga.com page, October 10, 2026, before tax and surcharges. The pages also advertised a lower first month for new members; that offer cannot be combined with the military rate.
For an existing member, switching means one more month at full price while the 30-day cancellation period runs, $189 at Point Loma, before the $151.20 rate starts. After that the saving is $37.80 a month. Joining through the discount page the first time avoids the wait entirely.
Freezes, cancellations, and the Committed Membership
CorePower’s Student Terms, effective April 15, 2026 and read October 10, 2026, set the rules for every program.
- Freeze. Up to 90 days per 12 months, in 30-day blocks, at a nonrefundable $15 per block. “In the event the member is pregnant or deployed to active military duty, CorePower Yoga may permit a member to freeze a membership for longer than 90 days,” and it may ask for information to verify the deployment. Studio Pass plans cannot freeze.
- Cancel. Monthly plans end 30 days after notice. CorePower “does not prorate months of membership” and gives no refunds for partial months.
- Committed Membership. Participating studios sell 6- and 12-month plans that cannot be frozen. The California and New York sections set an early termination fee of one month’s payment on a 6-month plan ended before the fifth payment, and two months’ on a 12-month plan ended before the eleventh. Both let you leave for a move of more than 25 miles; California’s allows a fee of up to $100.
- Moving. CorePower may reset your rate to the price structure of a new area if you relocate.
Some studios are run by franchisees, which the terms say may ask you to sign their own paperwork on top of CorePower’s.
CorePower’s terms against § 3956
Section 3956 lets you end a gym or fitness contract signed before your orders once they relocate you for at least 90 days to a location that does not support the contract, or after a stop-movement order blocks a contract signed after PCS orders. The § 3956 explainer covers the other contract types.
| Topic | CorePower | § 3956 |
|---|---|---|
| Notice | 30 days for monthly plans | Written notice, orders, and the date service ends, (a)(3); no notice period |
| Committed plan exit | One or two months’ payments as a fee (California and New York sections) | No early termination charge, (e)(1) |
| Partial months | No proration or refunds | Paid time after your end date refunded within 60 days, except the billing period you end in, (f) |
| Deployment | Freeze longer than 90 days at CorePower’s option | Termination as of right on qualifying orders, (a)(1) |
| Coming back | Re-enroll at then-current rates | No reinstatement charge if you re-subscribe in the 90-day period beginning on the last day of the relocation, (e)(2) |
CorePower column from its Student Terms; statute from the 2024 U.S. Code on GovInfo. Both read October 10, 2026.
One wrinkle is specific to CorePower. All Access works at any CorePower studio and includes online classes. A PCS from Colorado Springs to San Diego lands you near studios your plan already opens, so the contract arguably still serves you. Orders overseas, onto a ship, or to a city without a studio are the clear case. CorePower could argue its livestream follows you anywhere; the statute does not say, and no court has addressed it.
Nine months deployed, priced
Take a member paying the $132 military rate in Colorado Springs, deploying for nine months.
| Path | Cost over nine months |
|---|---|
| Keep paying | 9 x $132 = $1,188 |
| Freeze, if CorePower approves the full nine months | 9 x $15 = $135; confirm the 20% survives |
| Terminate under § 3956 | Current billing month only; rejoin later at the then-current rate less 20% |
| A member on a 12-month Committed plan in California or New York, terminating | Two-payment fee barred by (e)(1) |
Figures before tax, from the Garden of the Gods listing. The Committed row uses the California and New York sections, the only ones that state a fee.
The Student Terms say a freeze keeps your rate. The discount terms, though, say program benefits apply only while a membership is “not subject to any freeze,” so get CorePower’s written word that the 20% resumes afterward. Termination costs nothing going forward but restarts you at whatever the base rate is when you return. If CorePower says no to a long freeze, termination is the fallback.
Use the CorePower discount and leave cleanly on orders
- Join through the military discount page and finish SheerID verification before you pay; an existing membership cannot be switched to the discount without cancelling first.
- Before a deployment, ask CorePower in writing for a freeze longer than 90 days and attach your orders.
- To terminate instead, write the notice: name, home studio, the date service ends, and “I am terminating under 50 U.S.C. § 3956.” The letter generator drafts it.
- Send it with your orders to CorePower’s Customer Experience team, which the Student Terms name for cancellations required by law, and to the headquarters address the terms print, 3001 Brighton Blvd., Suite 269, Denver, CO 80216, or legal@corepoweryoga.com. Also cancel under My Membership so billing stops.
- On a Committed plan, refuse the early termination fee in writing and cite § 3956(e)(1).
- Check the next statement; a charge for time after your end date should come back within 60 days.
Spouses and Guard members
Registered Military Dependents get the 20% rate in their own right. The federal termination right is narrower: a spouse’s own membership qualifies only in the cases the family guide lists. Guard and Reserve members on qualifying orders are covered; Guard and Reserve coverage sorts the orders. A studio that keeps billing after a valid notice is a matter for the enforcement guide, and PCS money moves covers the rest of the move.
The law behind this: 50 U.S.C. § 3956
Termination of certain consumer contracts: gym memberships and fitness programs: read the statute , or read § 3956 in plain English, with its enforcement record .
Frequently asked questions
Does CorePower Yoga have a military discount?
Yes. CorePower's Special Pricing for Eligible Groups program, terms updated November 3, 2025, gives 20% off the All Access Membership base rate at your home studio, or 20% off class packs, at participating locations. Military members include active duty, veterans and retirees, Reserve and National Guard, Registered Military Dependents, and Gold Star Families. You verify online through SheerID; CorePower says you cannot sign up for the discount in a studio. Military members do not have to re-verify every year, unlike students and teachers.
How much is CorePower Yoga with the military discount?
It depends on the studio, because base rates vary by market. On October 10, 2026, All Access was $165 a month at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, $189 at Point Loma in San Diego, and $199 at Kapolei on Oahu. At 20% off, that is $132, $151.20, and $159.20. The discount also cuts class packs, such as the $249 ten-class pack in Colorado Springs, but not single classes, drop-ins, or the Intro Month offer.
Can existing CorePower members get the military discount?
Not on the membership you already have. CorePower's program terms say the discount is for new purchases only. An existing member must verify eligibility, cancel the current membership, wait for the cancellation period to run, then buy a new membership through the discount page. CorePower's cancellation period is 30 days' notice, so expect one more month at full price. At Point Loma that month costs $189, and the discount saves $37.80 every month after.
Can I freeze CorePower Yoga for a deployment?
Usually, yes. CorePower's Student Terms allow a freeze of up to 90 days per 12 months, in 30-day blocks, at $15 for each 30-day block, and add that a member who is deployed to active military duty may be allowed to freeze longer; CorePower may ask for information to verify the deployment. The longer freeze is CorePower's choice, not a right. Studio Pass memberships cannot be frozen at all, and neither can Committed Memberships.
Can I cancel CorePower Yoga on military orders?
Yes. A monthly All Access membership cancels on 30 days' notice, but if your orders relocate you for 90 days or more to a place your membership cannot serve and you joined before them, 50 U.S.C. § 3956 lets you set the end date yourself. The statute bars an early termination charge, which matters on a Committed Membership. Under § 3956(f), money paid for time after your end date comes back within 60 days, except the billing period you end in.
