Club Pilates posts no military discount. Its memberships page says pricing “is set by your local studio,” and the studio agreements read name each studio an independently owned franchisee. The cost that follows orders is in the studio agreement: a 3-month minimum, and a freeze that only medical reasons unlock. Under 50 U.S.C. § 3956, qualifying orders end that agreement, and § 3956(e)(1) bars any early termination charge.

What Club Pilates publishes, and what the word “military” means there

On October 10, 2026, the corporate memberships page and FAQ had no military rate. Nineteen studio pages read the same day, from Fayetteville, North Carolina to Kailua, Hawaii, had none either.

Two searches trip people up. “Club Pilates Military Cutoff” is the Wilmington, North Carolina studio at 1121-F Military Cutoff Road. “Rice Military” is a Houston neighborhood with its own studio. Neither is a military program.

What the corporate site does promise: 1,500 or more studios worldwide, HSA or FSA payment through Truemed for Unlimited and Annual plans at participating studios, and, for memberships bought on the website, the right to cancel any time and keep access through the paid period, with no right to “a refund of any kind or for any amount.” Those same terms make every membership subject to your studio’s own agreement.

Four studios’ prices, and the 3-month minimum

Club Pilates’ booking system publishes each studio’s packages and the agreement behind them. Of the studios checked, four showed recurring plans on October 10, 2026.

Studio4 classes a month8 classes a monthUnlimited
Clarksville, TN$99$159$219
Fredericksburg, VA$129$229$289
Waldorf, MD$129$229$289
Portsmouth, NH$135$240$300

Each studio’s own listing on the Club Pilates member site, October 10, 2026; Waldorf’s listing returned the same package records as Fredericksburg’s. Every Clarksville, Fredericksburg, and Waldorf plan read “3-month minimum agreement. Auto-renews monthly.” Portsmouth’s plans carried no description. A single class was $32 in Clarksville, with a 1-month expiration, non-refundable.

Inside the studio agreement

The agreement form for Clarksville and Fredericksburg is the same document with the studio’s name, address, and freeze fee filled in. Portsmouth’s form has the same freeze clause, at up to $35 a month, but a New Hampshire addendum with no move clause. The terms matter more than the price.

  • Who you contract with. Each studio is “an independently owned and operated franchisee,” and the franchisor is “not a party to this agreement.”
  • Freezes. The clause names one reason, “medical reasons,” possibly with a doctor’s note, in monthly increments, requested 14 days before billing, for up to $35 a month in Clarksville or $25 in Fredericksburg. A freeze extends the minimum term.
  • Credits. Monthly class credits expire and “do not rollover.” Classes unused by a cancellation’s effective date are forfeited.
  • Access level. A Single Studio plan covers your home studio only. Passport All Access covers every U.S. studio except Destination Studios and those inside LA Fitness.
  • Moving. The Clarksville and Fredericksburg forms carry an addendum titled for California, even in Tennessee and Virginia. It lets you cancel if you move more than 25 miles and the studio cannot transfer you to a comparable studio within 25 miles of your new home, with a “move fee” of $100, or up to $50 once more than half the term has run.

The agreement against § 3956

For a fitness contract, § 3956 asks two things: did you sign before the orders, and do the orders move you for 90 days or more to a place the contract does not support? A stop-movement order that blocks a contract signed after PCS orders also qualifies. The explainer covers other contract types; the statute page has the text.

TopicStudio agreement§ 3956
Leaving inside the 3-month minimumCancel only on the addendum’s listed groundsNo early termination charge, (e)(1)
Moving awayAllowed past 25 miles if no comparable studio is near, with a $100 or $50 move feeA fee for ending early on orders is arguably the charge (e)(1) bars
Deployment pauseMedical freezes onlyTerminate on orders of 90 days or more to a place the contract does not support, (a)(1)
Current monthCharged to the end of the billing cycleProvider keeps the billing period you end in, (f)
Paid for later monthsRefund “within the time prescribed by state law”Refund within 60 days, (f)

The access level decides how strong your case is. On a Single Studio plan, a move away from that one studio leaves the contract unsupported. On Passport All Access, a PCS to a city with a studio weakens that argument, because the plan works there.

Orders one month into a Fredericksburg plan, priced

Take a Marine who joins the Fredericksburg 8-class plan at $229 a month. Orders for a 12-month unaccompanied tour arrive after the first payment.

Pay out the 3-month minimum2 x $229 = $458

Cancel Club Pilates on orders

End a Club Pilates membership under § 3956

  1. Find your agreement in the Club Pilates app or account page. Note your plan, access level, and minimum-term end date.
  2. Write the notice: your name, studio, end date, and “I am terminating under 50 U.S.C. § 3956; do not charge remaining minimum-term payments or a move fee.” The letter generator drafts it.
  3. Include the orders. If you hold a Single Studio plan, say so; it covers no other studio.
  4. Email both to the studio’s address on its Club Pilates page, and hand a copy to the front desk if you can.
  5. Book your remaining classes before the end date; the agreement forfeits unused credits.
  6. Check the next statement and dispute in writing any draft for a billing period that starts after your end date.

A studio owner who bills the minimum anyway is the one breaking the rules, and the enforcement guide explains your options.

Spouses, Guard members, and LA Fitness studios

A spouse’s own membership is covered only in the narrow cases the family guide explains. Guard and Reserve members on qualifying orders are covered; Guard and Reserve coverage sorts the orders. Some studios sit inside LA Fitness clubs, and the all-access plans exclude them; if you also hold an LA Fitness contract, the LA Fitness page covers that one. For the bigger bills on the same orders, use PCS money moves.

The law behind this: 50 U.S.C. § 3956

Termination of certain consumer contracts: gym memberships and fitness programs: read the statute , or read § 3956 in plain English, with its enforcement record .

Frequently asked questions

Does Club Pilates have a military discount?

Not on its corporate site. On October 10, 2026, the Club Pilates memberships page said "Membership pricing is set by your local studio," and neither it nor the FAQ mentioned a military rate. Nineteen studio pages read the same day, from Fayetteville, North Carolina to Kailua, Hawaii, listed none either. The studio agreements read name each studio an independently owned franchisee, so a military price, where one exists, is the owner's choice. Ask the studio and have it written into the agreement.

How much does Club Pilates cost, and is there a discount price?

Each studio sets its price. On October 10, 2026, the Clarksville, Tennessee studio listed 4 classes a month for $99, 8 for $159, unlimited for $219, and a single class for $32. Fredericksburg, Virginia listed $129, $229, and $289. Every recurring plan at both carried a 3-month minimum. The discounts Club Pilates publishes are not military: lower per-class cost on larger plans, and HSA or FSA payment through Truemed for Unlimited and Annual memberships at participating studios.

What is Club Pilates Military Cutoff?

It is a studio, not a military program. Club Pilates Wilmington sits at 1121-F Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington, North Carolina, in the Forum Shopping Center, according to its studio page read October 10, 2026. Military Cutoff is the road's name. Club Pilates Rice Military, on Memorial Drive in Houston, is named for that neighborhood. Neither studio page listed a military discount, and pricing at both is set by the studio owner.

Can I cancel Club Pilates on military orders during the 3-month minimum?

Yes, if your orders relocate you for 90 days or more to a place your membership cannot serve and you joined before them. 50 U.S.C. § 3956(e)(1) bars an early termination charge, so the studio cannot bill the rest of the minimum. Under § 3956(f), money paid for time after your end date comes back within 60 days, except the billing period you end in. The agreement says classes unused by the cancellation date are forfeited; the statute does not address class credits.

Can I freeze Club Pilates for a deployment?

Not under the agreement form read for the Clarksville and Fredericksburg studios. Its freeze clause names only "medical reasons," possibly with a doctor's note, in monthly increments, requested 14 days before billing, at up to $35 a month in Clarksville and $25 in Fredericksburg. A freeze also extends the minimum term. If you joined before deployment orders of 90 days or more to a place the studio cannot serve, termination under 50 U.S.C. § 3956 is the tool, and it costs no termination fee.
