EoS Fitness Military Discount: None, but Move Orders End PT Contracts
Part of: The Complete Guide to the SCRA
EoS Fitness does not offer a military discount, and it says so in its own FAQ. What it does publish is a rule written for orders: a personal training agreement can be canceled at once when military orders move you. That matters, because EoS also says an open training agreement stops you from canceling your membership at all. For the membership itself, 50 U.S.C. § 3956 lets you end a gym contract on qualifying orders with no early termination charge.
What EoS publishes for service members
The FAQ entry is one sentence: “Although we don’t offer a military discount, our affordable memberships (as low as $9.99/mo at most EōS locations) are available to all active military and veterans.” EoS (the company writes it EōS) lists 225 or more gyms open or coming in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Texas, and Utah.
There are three tiers. Will Power and Will Crush reach every EoS gym except the Lux locations. Will Do is a single-gym plan. Here is what one club showed on October 10, 2026.
| Layton, Utah plan | Dues with ACH autopay | Enrollment shown | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Will Power | $29.99 a month | $1 | All EoS gyms except Lux |
| Will Crush | $24.99 a month | $1 | All EoS gyms except Lux |
| Will Do | $9.99 a month | $29.99 | Layton club only |
One club’s prices, 18 N Fort Lane, read on its eosfitness.com page October 10, 2026. Dues exclude tax and include a $2.99 monthly ACH discount. Every plan adds the $59.99 annual fee.
Three EoS rules that cost money on orders
The 30-day tail. EoS memberships are month-to-month. The FAQ says there is no fee to cancel, but “after we receive your 30-day cancellation notice, you’ll be billed one final time on your regular billing date to cover the final 30 days.” Memberships must also be in good standing, with no past-due balance.
The annual fee. EoS’s offer terms call it “a non-refundable, non-cancellable $59.99 annual fee,” charged one month after enrollment and every 12 months after that. The FAQ adds that a freeze does not defer it.
The training lock. “If you have an active Personal Training Agreement, you won’t be able to cancel your membership.” EoS calls these separate multi-month contracts. Normally you pay the balance or wait it out. The exception, with documentation, is “Military orders that result in a move (immediate cancel).” Any other voluntary move gets a 30-day notice instead.
EoS’s terms against § 3956
The federal test in § 3956(a)(1) and (b)(2) has two parts: a contract that predates your orders, and orders that move you for at least 90 days to a place the membership cannot follow. A second trigger covers a contract signed after PCS orders that a later stop-movement order keeps you from using. The consumer contract explainer covers the other contract types, and the statute page has the full text.
| Topic | EoS says | § 3956 says |
|---|---|---|
| Cancellation fee | None | No early termination charge, (e)(1) |
| Notice | 30 days, then one more monthly bill | Written notice, orders, and the date service ends, (a)(3); no notice period set |
| Money already paid | Final 30 days billed after notice | Amounts paid for time after your end date come back within 60 days, except the billing period you end in, (f) |
| Training agreement | Immediate cancel on orders that move you | Arguably a “fitness program” under (b)(1)(E) if signed before the orders |
| Annual fee | Non-refundable, non-cancellable | Refunds “any fee” paid for time after termination; how that meets the billing-period exception is untested |
EoS column from its FAQ and offer terms; statute from the GovInfo 2024 edition. Both read October 10, 2026.
Read the annual-fee row with care. Section 3956(f) reaches “any fee or other amount to the extent paid for a period extending until after” termination. It also lets the provider keep “the remainder of the monthly or similar billing period.” We found no published ruling on which wins for a yearly fee. The safer move is timing: send your notice before the anniversary date bills.
Freeze or terminate: a nine-month deployment, priced
Take a member on Will Crush at Layton, $24.99 a month, with nine-month deployment orders. Assume the annual fee comes due during the deployment.
| Path | Cost over nine months |
|---|---|
| Keep paying | 9 x $24.99 = $224.91, plus $59.99 annual fee = $284.90 |
| Two 3-month freezes at $5 a month, then 3 paid months | $30 + $74.97 + $59.99 = $164.96 |
| Terminate under § 3956 before the fee date | No fee; at most the current $24.99 period |
Prices before tax, from the Layton page. Your billing and anniversary dates set the real numbers.
Termination wins on a long deployment, and the freeze wins on a short one. A three-month freeze costs $15, and your regular dues resume when it ends, which beats rejoining if the next promotion has ended. Rejoining has its own cost: a new enrollment fee and a new annual fee. Section 3956(e)(2) bars a reinstatement charge if you re-subscribe within the 90-day period that begins on the last day of your relocation, so ask EoS in writing to waive the enrollment fee on that basis.
Cancel EoS on orders
End an EoS membership under § 3956
- Cancel any Personal Training agreement first. Give the gym your orders and cite EoS’s own “military orders that result in a move” exception.
- Write the notice: your name, home gym, agreement or barcode number, the date service ends, and “I am terminating under 50 U.S.C. § 3956.” The letter generator drafts it.
- Attach the orders. If the new station is outside the seven EoS states, say so in one line.
- Deliver it at your home gym and ask for a dated copy. If you cannot get there, email it with the orders to the ABC Fitness customer care address on the EoS FAQ and keep the sent copy.
- Check the annual fee date in your account and send the notice before it bills.
- Watch the next statement. Dispute in writing any draft for a billing period that starts after your end date; § 3956(f) gives EoS 60 days to refund it.
Billing that continues after a valid termination is worth a visit to installation legal assistance, which costs nothing. The enforcement guide lays out the complaint and lawsuit routes.
Spouses, Guard members, and the move itself
Guard and Reserve members on qualifying orders count as servicemembers under § 3956(a)(4)(C); the Guard and Reserve guide sorts the orders. A spouse’s own EoS membership qualifies only in the cases the family guide lists. EoS’s footprint is seven states, so a PCS outside them makes the “does not support the contract” test easy to meet. LA Fitness runs its freeze on different terms; its military page prices it. For the rest of the move, use PCS money moves.

Frequently asked questions
Does EoS Fitness have a military discount?
No. The EoS FAQ, read October 10, 2026, says: "Although we don't offer a military discount, our affordable memberships (as low as $9.99/mo at most EōS locations) are available to all active military and veterans." EoS runs promotions instead, such as the $1 enrollment offers its October 2026 terms list for the Will Power tier at participating gyms outside California. Those are open to everyone. Every membership also carries a $59.99 annual fee, and enrollment fees vary by gym and tier.
Can I cancel EoS Fitness with military orders?
Yes. EoS memberships are month-to-month, and EoS says there is no fee to cancel, but it bills one final month after it receives a 30-day notice. If your orders relocate you for 90 days or more to a place EoS cannot serve, and you joined before the orders, 50 U.S.C. § 3956 lets you terminate by written notice with a copy of the orders and the date service ends. The statute sets no 30-day notice period. Under § 3956(f), money paid for time after that date comes back within 60 days, except the rest of the billing period you end in.
Can I get out of an EoS personal training agreement if I PCS?
Yes, by EoS's own rule. Its FAQ says an active Personal Training agreement blocks a membership cancellation, but that the agreement can be canceled without paying the balance, with documentation, for "military orders that result in a move (immediate cancel)." A voluntary civilian move gets only a 30-day notice. Bring or send the orders when you cancel the training agreement, then cancel the membership. If the training agreement was signed before your orders, it is arguably a fitness program that § 3956 also covers, which bars an early termination charge.
How much does it cost to freeze EoS for a deployment?
EoS says you can freeze for up to 3 months at a time at $5 per month, and for no more than 6 months in a year. The $59.99 annual fee still bills if its date falls inside the freeze. A nine-month deployment outruns the freeze, so you would pay dues for the months it does not cover. Request a freeze at your home gym, through the EoS contact page, or by email to the ABC Fitness customer care address EoS lists, with your agreement or barcode number, start date, and length.
Is there an EoS Fitness promo code for military?
EoS publishes no military promo code. Its offer terms page, read October 10, 2026, listed October 2026 promotions such as a $1 enrollment fee on Will Power memberships at participating gyms outside California, some with 14 or 30 days of dues waived. Those offers are open to any new member and vary by gym and date. Each one still carries the $59.99 annual fee, which EoS says is charged one month after enrollment and every 12 months after that.
