Visible has no military discount. Its list prices are the same for everyone, taxes and fees included, and there is no service contract to break. So the money for a service member with orders is not in a discount. It is in two policies: how long Visible holds your number after you leave, and what it does with a year you paid for up front. Every Visible fact below was read on visible.com on October 9, 2026.

Visible’s terms beside § 3956

Visible’s published terms, checked October 9, 2026:

ItemVisible’s pages sayOn qualifying orders under § 3956
Military discount or codeNone on its plans page, promotions FAQ, or termsNot a federal right
Monthly plan$25, $35, or $45; cancellation takes effect on your next payment due dateNo early termination charge, § 3956(e)(1)
Annual plan$275, $375, or $450; “No refunds will be awarded after activation”Amounts paid past the current billing period refunded within 60 days, § 3956(f)
PauseNone listed in its account helpThe statute has no pause; it lets you terminate

Use abroadTerms let Visible end service if you primarily use data outside its coverage on other networksSupport for the point that an overseas move does not support the contract

Visible’s service runs on Verizon’s network, and its terms are issued by Verizon Value, Inc. The Visible pages read for this guide mention none of the military suspensions described on the Verizon page, so do not count on them. The federal rule is short: a mobile contract you had before orders that move you for 90 days or more to a place the contract does not support can be ended by written notice with a copy of the orders. The phone and internet cancellation guide covers it in full.

The 50-day window is the real risk

Visible’s help center puts the rule plainly. Cancelling “is not immediate,” and service disconnects on your next payment due date. From your last day of service you have 50 days to pay in the app and restore the line with the same number. On day 51 the number is released for others to use. Visible’s terms add that you have no rights to your wireless number except any right to port it.

Fifty days does not cover a deployment. Here is what a 12-month tour costs under each choice, using Visible’s posted prices with taxes and fees included:

  • Keep the base plan running: 12 × $25 = $300.
  • Buy the base annual plan before you leave: $275, the lowest yearly price on Visible’s plans page.
  • Cancel in writing under § 3956: $0. The number then rests on § 3956(c), which requires the provider to let you keep it if you re-subscribe within 90 days after a relocation of three years or less ends. Visible publishes no process for this, so you are relying on your notice and a copy of your orders.

If losing the number would cost you real money (a business line, two-factor logins at your bank), the $275 is cheap insurance. If not, terminate and keep your paperwork.

An annual plan cut short: the refund math

Say you bought the $375 Visible+ annual plan, which Visible prices as “like paying $32/mo,” and you terminate on orders in the fifth month. Divide the year evenly and each month is worth $31.25.

  • Visible’s position: $0 back. Its plans FAQ says “No refunds will be awarded after activation,” and its terms say Visible will not refund payments on an activated account.
  • The § 3956(f) claim: the provider must refund “any fee or other amount to the extent paid for a period extending until after” the termination date, within 60 days. It may keep “the remainder of the monthly or similar billing period in which the termination occurs.” Read month by month, Visible keeps months one through five and you claim months six through twelve: 7 × $31.25 = $218.75.

This is an illustration of the claim you can make, not an amount Visible has agreed to pay. It assumes the “billing period” in § 3956(f) is one month. The statute does not define the term, and Visible could argue the year is one period; on that reading the whole year is the period you terminated in, and nothing comes back. Your best fact is Visible’s own math: when an annual member upgrades mid-term, Visible charges the difference “prorated to the number of days remaining in the annual plan term.” A company that prices the rest of your year by the day for an upgrade can price it for a refund. Two limits apply. The plan must predate the orders, because § 3956(b)(2) covers only contracts entered before you received them. And if Visible refuses, free help is listed on the legal help page.

Phones and travel on Visible

Visible finances phones through Affirm. Its Affirm financing page lists rates from 0 to 36% APR and says Affirm’s payment options are subject to an eligibility check. That loan is a separate contract with a separate lender. Section 3956 ends the service contract, not a loan, so keep paying Affirm after you cancel.

Global Pass, Visible’s day pass for use in more than 140 countries, is built for trips. Its terms list primarily using data outside Visible coverage on other carrier networks as good cause to end service, so its terms give it grounds to cut off a line used mainly overseas. For a move, fold the line into your PCS money plan.

How to leave Visible on orders

Cancel Visible under 50 U.S.C. § 3956

  1. Confirm the orders qualify: 90 days or more, to a place your Visible service does not support, issued after you signed up. The eligibility rules explain who counts.
  2. Decide about the number first. If it is moving to another carrier, start the port before you cancel, as Visible’s help center advises. Its terms put the port-out PIN in your Account profile.
  3. Write the notice: your orders, the termination date, a request to keep the number under § 3956(c), and on an annual plan a refund request under § 3956(f). The letter generator drafts it.
  4. Send it through Visible chat in the app or on the web, which Visible lists as its 24-hour support channel, and save the transcript.
  5. Cancel: on the web, Profile, then Cancel my service under Service; in the app, Account, then My Service, then Cancel service.
  6. Calendar three dates in the deadline checker: day 50 after service ends (Visible’s window), day 60 after termination (refund due), and day 90 after your relocation ends (number).

Spouses on their own Visible line have the statute’s rights only in the cases § 3956(a)(4) lists; the family guide explains them. The same orders often end an apartment lease too. The statute’s full text is on the § 3956 page.

Frequently asked questions

Does Visible have a military discount?

No. Visible's plans page, its Understanding Visible Promotions help article (last updated July 30, 2026), and its service terms contain no military, veteran, or service-member pricing as read on October 9, 2026. Visible's list prices are the same for everyone: $25, $35, or $45 a month, or $275, $375, or $450 a year, taxes and fees included. The value for a service member is in how Visible handles cancellation, refunds, and your number, and in the federal rules that override its terms on qualifying orders.

Is there a Visible military discount code?

No code is tied to military status. The codes Visible advertises are for new members, with no service requirement. The code featured on its plans page on October 9, 2026 was 5OFF5: $5 a month off the $35 Visible+ or $45 Visible+ Pro monthly plan for the first 60 months, for new members who port in a number from an eligible carrier within 30 days. Visible lists it as ending October 29, 2026, and it does not apply to annual plans. Moving to the $25 plan or ending service forfeits what is left of the discount.

Can I get a refund on a Visible annual plan if I deploy?

Visible's answer is no: its plans FAQ says no refunds will be awarded after activation, and its terms say the same for any payment on an activated account. On orders that qualify under 50 U.S.C. § 3956, federal law requires a refund within 60 days of amounts paid for a period after the termination date, except the rest of the monthly or similar billing period you terminate in. Visible has not said how it reads that for a yearly plan, so ask in writing. The plan must predate the orders.

Can I pause Visible while deployed?

Not on any page Visible publishes. Its account help article, last updated July 1, 2026, covers passwords, addresses, plan switches, number changes, and cancellation, with no pause or suspension option, and its site index files list no such page. Your choices are to keep paying, which is $300 for a year on the $25 plan or $275 on the base annual plan, or to cancel in writing under § 3956 and claim the number-retention right in § 3956(c).

How long does Visible keep my number after I cancel?

Fifty days. Visible's help center says you have 50 days from your last day of service to come back and keep your old number by paying in the app, after which the number is released for others to use. Cancellation itself is not immediate: service disconnects on your next payment due date. If you cancel on qualifying orders, § 3956(c) gives you a longer window, through 90 days after a relocation of three years or less ends.
